The department of Urdu is one of the oldest department of Harimohan Ghosh College. In the beginning Urdu was taught as general subject. But in the year 2007, urdu has been introduced as Honours subject in the college. Since then the journey of Urdu department is going on successfully. There are three faculty members in our department.

Students Progression for Urdu

Department of Urdu organized departmental seminar, state level seminar and national level seminar to enrich knowledge of our students.

Excursion : Our department organized study tour (excursion) in every year.

Specialization of our department is Theatre. We have a drama group in our department, we stage plays in the different occasion of the college.

We also organized different kind of exhibition in our department.
